The Penang Forward Sports Club started with a group of jogging enthusiasts back in 1978. During those time, not much activities available. Jogging would be best sport to start with a group of friends and family.
In 80', Penang government organized the very first dragon boat competition. As a local to support the event, PFSC send a team to participate in the competition. That is how the dragon boat team was formed.
Since then, the club had no turning back and officially registered with The Registry of Societies Malaysia (ROS) in 1986

In Malay, "Lambang kelab ini berbentuk sebuah roda yang sedang berputar dengan seorang olahragawan yang sedang berlari di tengah-tengah roda itu. Roda yang berputar dan olahrgawan yang sedang berlari itu diwarnakan dengan warna kuning dengan latar belakang warna biru pada bahangian tengah roda. Roda yang sedang berputar itu melambangkan aktiviti kelab yang sentiasa bergerak aktif. Olahragawan yang sedang berlari pula melambangkan kelab ini adalah sebuah kelab sukan. Warna kuning dan biru melambangkan kelab ini ditubuhkan di negeri Pulau Pinang."
The club logo is in the form of a spinning wheel with a athlete running in the middle of the wheel. The spinning wheel and the running athlete were colored in yellow with a blue background on the center of the wheel. The rotating wheel symbolizes the active of club. The athlete who is on the run represents this club as a sports club. The yellow and blue colors represent this club established in Penang.
The club activities was not limited to dragon boat paddling and running only. We did other activities like body building, cycling, canoeing and etc.
In our 33rd anniversary, we launch a new division for the club - The Dragon & Lion Dance Troupe to create more activities for the society.
